    Cultural Experience: For us Nepalis, Japan will seem like a different culture and you will be able to experience it first hand when you study in Japan. The culture is mixed with the technology from the west and traditions from the east. The East Asian culture is firmly rooted and even the pop culture there is quite impressive. Many students learn about the Japanese culture with the help of manga and anime.

    Education and Business: Japan’s education system is ranked among the top. The country is famous for quality education that produces technical manpower. Japan is even ahead of America in terms of tech. So, IT students and Computer Engineers would find it very impressive.

    The country is also home to some of the world’s best tech companies such as Sony, Nikon, Canon, Hitachi, Toyota, etc. In addition, the mixture of tech and tradition is also pretty solid in this country. Education is also not really expensive in Japan. The country has decent pricing on college tuition so, Nepali students don’t have to worry about it.

    Employment: You can work part-time in Japan as a student. You are allowed certain hours a week and you get enough money to sustain yourself. This is very helpful as the part-time income will help you survive in this country.

    Safety: Japan is a very safe country. The crime rate is low and most people are pretty polite. The Japanese people lead a very busy life and they don’t even have time for gossip. The food is excellent and you can get a decent social life in the city. Racism is also very minimum so, you don’t really have to worry about discrimination.

    How to apply to a University in Japan?

    Japanese Universities generally take students two times a year. The students can either enroll in the Spring semester (Nov-Apr) or the fall semester (March-Sept). If you want to start in the spring semester, you need to start the process in November. Similarly, for the fall semester, you start the process in March. You need the following documents while applying for a University in Japan:

    • The Application form of the college
    • A personal statement letter
    • High School/University Transcript (for Undergrad)
    • Graduation certificate (for Post Grad)
    • Document of Passing Standardized Tests (SAT, TOEFL, GRE, etc)
    • Recommendation Letter and the photocopy of your passport
